At 16 years old, when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, my whole world turned upside down. You never think it could be you — but suddenly, it was.
During my journey, one small moment stood out in a big way. While I was waiting in pre-op for my thyroid removal surgery, someone came in with a bag just for teens. Up until then, everything around me was geared toward little kids with cancer. Teens often fall through the cracks. But that bag — filled with things that any teenager would love — made me feel seen.
It came from the Bite Me Cancer Foundation, an organization that supports teens with cancer and funds research grants for thyroid cancer. That small act made a huge impact on me, and I knew I wanted to give back.
Now, I’m asking for your help. Together, we can make sure other teens continue receiving these special care bags and that the fight against thyroid cancer moves forward. Every contribution helps support teens like me and pushes us closer to better treatments and hope for Thyroid Cancer.
