RESCHEDULED: "It's In the Bag" Bite Me Cancer's Annual Wine Dinner Now October 4, 2020

October 4, 2020 @ 4:30PM — 9:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

This is our 7th annual wine dinner, now called "It's in the Bag!" This year, we will be celebrating the foundation's 10th year and Nikki's 10th "cancerversary!" Our popular annual event brings the community together to support and inspire teenagers fighting all cancers as we raise funds for our Teen Support Program. Each of our Teen Support Bags cost $75, so every dollar helps for our all-volunteer organization to give our bags to the teenagers battling cancer all over the country. If you can't attend, please consider purchasing tickets to donate back to Bite Me Cancer so parents of teens with cancer and also adult cancer survivors can attend for free.

Bite Me Me Cancer's founder, Nikki, was diagnosed in April 2010 with a rare form of thyroid cancer. At this 2020 dinner, we will celebrate Nikki's 10th "cancerversary" and also honor those in the room who are cancer survivors. We will also celebrate the 10th year of Bite Me Cancer!

The main focus of this fundraiser is to spotlight the challenges of teenagers dealing with cancer and raise funds to continue with expansion of our Teen Support Program (which includes our Teen Support Bag distribution). They "fall through the cracks" in the hospital systems, whether they are in a pediatric ward or an adult ward. Nikki developed the Teen Support Bag for these teenagers. Donations help to sustain and expand this bag program. So far, we have given our bags to almost 7,000 teenagers battling cancer! The heartwarming and positive feedback we receive is amazing! We currently have over 125 hospitals in 48 states and DC distributing our bags directly to their teen patients. Through our mission, we also serve dinner to the families on the Pediatric Oncology Unit at INOVA Children's Hospital, Fairfax, VA, once a month. You can learn more about the foundation at www.bitemecancer.org
